A certain Leningrad family, fond of telling jokes, owned a parrot. One day it disappeared. They hunted high and low, but it was nowhere to be found. Without wasting any time the parrot’s owner rushed to the KGB.
‘Why come to us?’ they asked. ‘We haven’t got your parrot, no one’s brought it here.’
‘Never mind, Comrade Commander, it’s bound to be brought in soon and I just wanted to tell you that I don’t share its opinions.’

A Briton, a Frenchman and a Russian are viewing a painting of Adam and Eve frolicking in the Garden of Eden. “Look at their reserve, their calm,” muses the Brit. “They must be British.”
“Nonsense,” the Frenchman disagrees. “They’re naked, and so beautiful. Clearly, they are French.”
“No way! They have no clothes and no shelter,” the Russian points out, “They have only an apple to eat, and they are being told they live in a paradise. Obviously, they are Russian.”
